Steelhead arrive on Smith, Chetco Rivers!!!

We have begun to catch winter steelhead on the Smith and Chetco rivers. Fishing this season so far has been better than the last several years. There are a lot of hatchery fishing in both the Chetco and Smith rivers at this time and fishing will just keep getting better as we get into the peak season in January through March.
Heavy rains at this time have the rivers have the rivers high. Each time the rivers drop after the rains, fishing has been outstanding. There have been hatchery steelhead over 20 pounds already caught this season. The steelhead this year are bigger than average.
I do have dates available throughout the season. This appears to be one of the best starts to steelhead season that I can remember in 19 years of guiding here full time. When we get a break in the weather, the fishing will be world-class.
Call (541) 698-7029 or (707) 218-5550 to get in on the action.
